Job description
As a Business Development Manager at Krones Netherlands, you are responsible for strengthening the market position by developing new clients and markets. You are the driving force behind the sales process: from lead generation and market research to closing major deals. You focus strongly on building sustainable client relationships and offer technical solutions that help clients improve their processes.In collaboration with your colleagues in the sales team, you will work closely to achieve the commercial objectives of Krones Netherlands. You have the freedom to take ownership on both commercial and technical fronts. At Krones, you’ll have ample opportunities to leverage your expertise and sell innovative, sustainable solutions to new clients in the Dutch market.
After a thorough onboarding process, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Developing and maintaining long-term relationships with new clients – you are a hunter who doesn’t give up
- Proactively identifying market opportunities and translating customer needs into suitable solutions
- Managing the entire sales process, from lead generation to contract closure
- Preparing and delivering sales presentations to clients
- Collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure optimal customer experience and project results
- Reporting market developments and sales results to the Sales Director
- Participating in trade fairs and events to increase Krones’ visibility
Background
You are a commercially driven professional who thrives on developing new markets and building relationships. You have a technical affinity and feel comfortable navigating complex technical sales processes. You work proactively, have excellent communication skills, and can convince clients of the added value of Krones' solutions. You have experience in a commercial role, preferably in a technical environment.We also ask for:
- Higher professional education level (HBO), preferably with a technical background
- Experience in a commercial sales role, preferably in a technical sector
- Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English; German is a plus
- Experience with Salesforce is a plus
- Ability to work independently, driven, and result-oriented with a focus on customer needs
- Solution-oriented thinking and the ability to tackle complex challenges
- Willingness to occasionally travel abroad
