Job description
In this new position, you will take the lead in setting up and expanding the ‘Lifecycle Services department.’You will work closely with colleagues from Service, Marketing, and Sales, continuously exchanging knowledge to seize growth opportunities and develop the most valuable propositions. You will apply a long-term strategy, with everything you do focused on building lasting and growing customer relationships.
As ‘Sales Manager – Lifecycle Services,’ you will be responsible for further developing and selling Foodmate’s aftermarket products and services. This includes selling training programs, original components, spare parts (kits), (service) contracts, product upgrades, and remote monitoring services. It will be your responsibility to identify opportunities, provide (or develop in consultation) the right solutions, and close deals. You will focus both on acquiring new customers and strengthening relationships with existing After-Sales clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies for service solutions
- Drive growth across all aftermarket areas (e.g., overhauls, service agreements, spare parts kits, modifications, and training)
- Proactively leverage sales opportunities via the (installed base) customer database
- Continuously monitor and analyze market developments, customer feedback, and competitors to identify new service solutions and improve existing ones
- Sell aftermarket products and service contracts to customers
- Prepare quotes, proactively follow up, and convert them into orders
- Collaborate with various teams, including Service, Sales, and Marketing, to develop innovative service solutions and drive sales growth
- Build strong relationships with customers and support them as a trusted advisor
- Assist in developing and communicating promotions and marketing campaigns to boost sales
- Maximize customer value by providing strong relationships and customer-focused advice
Background
- A completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in a technical or business-related field
- Experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry
- Proven success in implementing (new) sales strategies and processes
- Knowledge of contract management and strong negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team, result-driven, decisive, and always anticipating developments and opportunities
- Strong communication skills at various levels, a customer-oriented mindset, ownership with an entrepreneurial mentality, and a proactive, results-driven approach
- Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 30%)
- Excellent command of Dutch and at least English
