You will work for Marel Poultry, which specializes in designing, manufacturing, and installing machinery for the poultry processing industry. They are the undisputed global market leader and trendsetter in this field. In addition to their offices in Boxmeer (Netherlands), Dongen (Netherlands), Gardabaer (Iceland), Aarhus (Denmark), and Gainesville (USA, Georgia), they have local offices or production facilities in many other countries.

Job description

You will be responsible for selling innovative and complex projects, specifically for setting up (fully) integrated poultry processing solutions for customers (poultry processors). These large-scale projects involve high-value investments, long lead times, and complex sales processes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Managing the entire sales process, from market research and analysis, creating a sales plan for your region, conducting acquisition and sales meetings, negotiating, and ultimately closing deals
  • Further developing, managing, and guiding a strong international network of agents, as well as supporting and training local account managers
  • Collaborating closely with the Regional Sales Director for your (to-be-determined) region
  • Driving your sales strategy to achieve commercial objectives
  • Identifying and addressing customer needs, translating them into successful opportunities
  • Working closely with sales engineers and technical teams to secure internal support for delivering the best (customer-specific) total solutions
  • Contributing to the organization's growth strategy and development, further strengthening Marel Poultry's leading position
  • Participating in (inter)national trade fairs and hosting customers in Boxmeer

Background

  • A bachelor’s degree (HBO) or higher, preferably in a technical field
  • Up to 7 years of experience in a similar role in a comparable environment is an advantage
  • Technical proficiency and knowledge (e.g., mechanical engineering)
  • Internationally oriented and willing to travel (50% internationally – region to be determined)
  • Analytical, sharp, and driven to get to the heart of the matter
  • Strong communication skills at various levels, problem-solving abilities, and excellent listening skills
  • Energetic, pragmatic, results-oriented, entrepreneurial, and independent
  • A strong desire, ambition, and commitment to further develop yourself
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus
