You will be working at the production site in Joure, where teams focus on innovative solutions in the fields of cheese and convenience. For DERO clients, it is a 'one-stop shopping' experience, with DERO remaining involved throughout the entire machine lifecycle to ensure optimal performance.
Job descriptionAs the Service Manager, you are responsible for further growing, developing, and managing the service organization. You have direct and indirect responsibility for overseeing 25 colleagues, each with their own specialization. Collaborating with your colleagues, you will take steps to further structure this organization. Your organizational and process skills will come into play as you guide the team. DERO has outlined a plan for the growth and prosperity of the service department, and you will lead the employees, guiding them to higher levels of performance.
It is essential for you to be present in Alkmaar regularly during the initial period at Dero, until the organization progresses, after which you will work from Joure. The service division includes roles such as sales support, team leaders, sales, planning, support desk, work preparation, service technicians, service specialists, and process improvement.
As a person, you are naturally adept at communication and handling diverse situations. You excel at managing resistance and winning people over. You act as the leader of your team, ensuring everyone feels valued in their roles and providing opportunities for personal growth.
After a personalized onboarding period, you will focus on:
- Developing and building the service organization further
- Ensuring proper adherence to SLAs (Service Level Agreements)
- Taking responsibility for timely and accurate deliveries of assemblies, repairs, and parts
- Initiating and coordinating various commercial and operational activities with existing clients
- Setting an example for your colleagues and inspiring them with your enthusiasm
- Introducing innovations and guiding your colleagues in embracing them, effectively touching and motivating them
- Collaborating with colleagues and clients at various levels (strategic, tactical, and operational)
BackgroundTo fulfill your responsibilities with joy and success, we are looking for someone with the following qualities:
- At least a Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical field
- Relevant experience in a similar role, with this being the next logical step for you
- Sensitivity and affinity for asset management and Industry 4.0
- Familiarity with change management
- Commercial insight; you identify opportunities and capitalize on them
- Proficiency in Dutch and English. Knowledge of German is a plus
- Ability to deal with different personalities and win them over
- Experience in machine construction is a significant advantage
