You will be a member of the Intralox Packaging team and ideally be based in Germany, working from a home office. In Amsterdam is the headquarter for the EMEA region.

The Sales Application Manager (SAM) plays a crucial role in promoting and selling the innovative products and solutions. Based ideally in Germany, you'll work remotely, reporting to the Commercial Manager of the Platform. Expect frequent travel, around 50-60% of your time, to engage with clients, conduct demonstrations, and attend industry events. Besides sales, you'll focus on nurturing client relationships and providing ongoing support. Collaboration within the team is key, offering opportunities to contribute ideas and enhance their offerings. This role presents an exciting opportunity to drive sales growth, expand our market presence, and deliver value to our clients.

SAMs exhibit self-management skills, prioritize workload, and actively participate in team meetings and sales discussions. They demonstrate a commitment to quality work, accept feedback, and contribute ideas for improvement. Additionally, SAMs excel in team collaboration, maintain updated schedules, and communicate effectively with peers and customers. They play a vital role in sales funnel management, completing opportunity qualification forms, and coordinating with industry teams to identify trends and address gaps. SAMs also engage in sales planning, communication, and call execution, utilizing CRM tools for project management and ensuring timely follow-up on customer interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the commercial drivers within the industry, enabling the identification, qualification, and prioritization of viable opportunities
  • Provide timely support to facilitate the prequalification of opportunities by industry teams, ensuring seamless coordination and collaboration
  • Spearhead the identification and development of innovative new applications and products, driving continuous improvement and maintaining a competitive edge
  • Skillfully articulate Intralox's technical advantages through compelling commercial messages to enhance sales effectiveness
  • Assume ownership of the industry team's strategy and business planning process, guiding initiatives towards successful outcomes


  • Business professional level of German, spoken and written, and fluent in English. Other languages, is a plus
  • Technical college / university degree in industrial, mechanical and/or electrical engineering
  • Minimum 3 years experience in B2B sales and engineering with preferably knowledge and experience within the food processing, packaging or material handling industries
  • Self-motivated, proactive, hands-on, self-managed and independent
  • Good listening and questioning skills to understand needs and requirements
  • Investigative and innovative entrepreneur, eager and constantly seeking and recognizing business opportunities
  • Strong, clear and concise communicator and negotiator at all levels
  • Enthusiastic team player with a strong personality and a good sense of humor
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel extensively throughout the territories
